Founded in 1925, The Rotary Club of Ambler is a dynamic club of more than 90 members that meets weekly at the William Penn Inn (Route 202 and Sumneytown Pike, Gwynedd Valley PA) at 12:15 Wednesdays.
The history of the club has been intertwined with the community organizations and institutions that give Ambler its unique character - the Ambler Area YMCA, the Wissahickon Valley Public Library, Community Cupboard of Ambler and numerous other civic groups. Since its founding, the Ambler Club has spun off two other neighboring clubs, the Rotary Club of Blue Bell and the Rotary Club of Springfield.
Among the club's many annual activities are coordinating the Ambler Holiday Parade each December, sponsoring numerous youth exchange students, both in and out bound, and recognizing students from each of the area high schools through our Student of the Month program. Active and energetic Interact clubs at nearby Wissahickon High School and Wordsworth Academy ensure that today's youth will value service above self, launching the next generation of community-minded Rotarians.
