YOUTH EXCHANGE ALERT
Youth Exchange is a never ending opportunity to change the world of tomorrow by involving the youth of today.
Even as we are receiving our new inbound students, we must also begin to think about recruiting new students for our outbound class leaving next August.
Yes, next August!
Club selection and interviews should be complete by mid October, so that the students and committee can prepare for District interviews in November. As Schools prepare to begin, we must also plan to visit the schools and find appropriate students to groom as Exchange Students.
Don't Delay!
This is your year to offer a deserving student the opportunity of a lifetime to achieve their goal and ours of
World Peace Through Understanding.
For more information, please go to our youth exchange website or contact Max E. Rose at: MandProse1@msn.com.
Is your club not involved in Youth Exchange? Perhaps they were waiting for someone like you to get the ball rolling. Contact us and let us help you introduce a little youth into your club.
Since 1963, clubs in our district have participated in International Youth Exchanges. Over the course of our 40 year history we have hosted and sponsored well over 1,000 students here and abroad. The 'Long Term' or Academic Year program lasts from 8-10 months and the Summer Exchange Program is a family to family exchange that typically is for 4 weeks in the Summer. the following pages feature some information and announcements for each of the programs.
Our website contains a wealth of information about the program as well as the students currently participating in exchanges, preparing for an exchange and those who have completed their exchange (Rotex). Please be sure to visit our website for more information and to meet our students: www.rotary7430yep.org. Our District is part of a multi-district youth exchange organization called Eastern States Student Exchange (ESSEX). For additonal information ESSEX see www.exchangestudent.org.
