ShelterBox has reached 200,000 people in 2020, bringing the total served since being created twenty years ago to over 1.7 million people sheltered. This was accomplished by the support of clubs and districts like ours. Sustained help enables ShelterBox to be better prepared to respond quickly and efficiently to reach families when disaster or conflict damages or destroys their home.

Initially making landfall as a Category 4 hurricane on November 3rd, slow-moving Eta caused extreme damage in Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala and beyond. Its heavy rains, resulting flooding, and landslides have torn down homes during a time when families need shelter the most to protect themselves from coronavirus.  Just weeks later, Hurricane Iota followed a similar path. It is the strongest hurricane of the year and the 30th named storm of this year's Atlantic Hurricane Season.

In Honduras, there are over 3 million people affected and at least 55,000 people staying in emergency shelters. We are in need of $237,000 to help shelter more families in Honduras.  Help us spread the news about this need.

Together, Rotary and ShelterBox can make a difference!
