There are many ways to tell our Rotary story.

Consistently using the Rotary branding, we are able to convey with clarity who we are. Through the People of Action campaign we see images that share what we do. But, there is nothing more powerful than the story you tell others of what Rotary means to you. It's part of our membership message shared by District Chair Gary in the last bulletin. S.T.A.R.T Simply talk about Rotary today!

And what will be your story to tell? This year we will be highlighting stories of Rotarians from throughout the district in our monthly video message PEOPLE OF ACTION: Our stories!! Our hope is that these stories will inspire you to think about what Rotary means to you.

This year's District Changeover is going virtual!!! Mark your calendars and join us on Monday, July 27, 2020 at 7:00 pm. We are planning a fun event recognizing and celebrating the many accomplishments of our district clubs during 2019-2020. Governor Herb will be presenting Rotary Citation winners, Rotary Foundation awards, and Youth Service Award winners. There may even be some surprises and special guests. Come network with other Rotarians and learn more about the “World of Rotary” outside of your Club. Rotary is an amazing worldwide organization that makes a difference in local communities and throughout the world. Attendance at this event will increase your Rotary knowledge. You will meet Rotarians from other Clubs, virtually of course, and learn about activities and projects are taking place in our Rotary District.

The Rotary Foundation: New Area of Focus

The Rotary Foundation Trustees and Rotary International Board of Directors were unanimous at their June meetings in adding a new area of focus: Supporting the Environment.

More than $18 million in Foundation global grant funding has been allocated to environment-related projects over the past five years. Creating a distinct Area of Focus to support the environment will give Rotary members even more ways to bring about positive change in the world and increase our impact.

Supporting the Environment becomes Rotary's seventh Area of Focus, which are categories of service activities supported by Global Grants. It joins Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention; Disease Prevention and Treatment; Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene; Maternal and Child Health; Basic Education and Literacy; and Community Economic Development.

The revised Rotary Foundation’s mission statement now reads:

Our Mission: The Rotary Foundation helps Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.
