GROW Membership - Innovating New Club Models
Tuesday, October 20 at 7 pm

Join us on Tuesday, October 20 at 7PM for an interactive session on Growing Rotary! We will welcome Marty Helman (Zone 32 Innovative Club Advocate, D7780 Boothbay Harbor Rotary, ME) and our own PDG Herb Klotz (Zone 32 Assistant Rotary Coordinator, Allentown West Rotary, PA.)

Marty & Herb will share proven approaches to grow your Rotary club including attracting members in the current COVID-19 environment and how to avoid potential obstacles. They will also present ideas on new, innovative clubs that are happening in Rotary districts throughout the Northeast United States. There will be breakout sessions to share ideas with other Rotarians in your district.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

This may be the chance to transform your club by adding a satellite! Here is your opportunity to think outside the box.  I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, October 20 at 7PM.

President Elect Training Seminar

A Message from DGE Bob Hobaugh

Every year Rotary Club members select a Rotarian in good standing to lead their club.  It is the responsibility of the District Governor Elect to provide training to the person chosen by your club.  During the coming months I will be assisted by Past District Governor Linda Young, the District Trainer. Together we will provide a practical training program to help your Club President-Elect to chart a course in order that there will be smooth sailing beginning July 1, 2021. Preparation begins now.

COVID-19 has caused us to offer PETS training via zoom. Our challenge is to create a setting where PEs can bond without in-person contact. PETS I is scheduled between October and November 2020, one meeting for each group of PEs of the 9 Areas in our District 7430.

PETS II follows as a District-wide event in February of all PEs, where they will be able share ideas with fellow PEs and learn to share with Club members the vision for their year as President. Middle Atlantic PETS (MAPETS) follows on February 25 through 19, 2021, joining 3 other Districts with regional and national facilitators who inspire and train PEs, Assistant Governors and others. Our District 7430 training concludes with PE and Club officer training at the District Training Assembly scheduled for April 10, 2021.

Our goal is to help your President-Elect be a success leading your Club. Linda and I look forward to working with all the Presidents-Elects in the coming months.
