We're taking a break from our typical format this month.

Our district continues to grow and make a difference.  

On the club level, most of you are well into community service projects, have honored students with scholarships and accolades, you're preparing for and implementing summer celebrations, picnics, flag fields, parades, and so much more.

At the District level, leadership is changing over as we welcome a new Rotary year and a full menu of items that are in the finishing stages of preparation.

So, kick back, enjoy this shorter-than-usual newsletter, celebrate the 250th birthday of America, and get psyched for a new Rotary year!   I know I will.   ~ Karin Suttmann, Warminster

District Governor's July Message

As any Rotarian knows, our causes and projects vary from club to club. Rotary International has themes for each month to try and bring focus to important causes. July is Maternal and Child Health Month. I encourage your club to look at projects around that cause. Something as simple as collecting Diapers and Infant Care essentials to donate can go a long way in helping a young mother in need. Rotary District 7430 Changeover: July 1

ICYMI (in case you missed it): The 2026-27 Rotary International Presidential message  is "Create Lasting Impact." Take a moment to watch the video clip (above) of RI President Olayinka H. Babalola as he introduces his message. Creating a lasting impact requires intentional, long-term sustainability rather than short-term activities. We must think beyond immediate visibility to build systems, multiply leaders, and transform lives that, in turn, transform others. 

YOUTH:  At the time we're building this newsletter, Camp Neidig has wrapped up, and STEM YEA is getting ready for this year's academy. We'll have a full wrap-up of both next month. 

STRIKE OUT HUNGER & POLIO:  The annual Phillies Strike out Hunger & Polio regional, multi-district event will happen on August 6th this year!  Click on the QR code below for more information.   Batter up!!  

PLANNING FOR YOUR CLUB FISCAL YEAR 

Each year, our district cycle includes key activities that bring us together in the spirit of learning, leadership, and fellowship. Following is a short list of what you can expect and approximately when. In addition to these, look out for various learning opportunities and service projects.  

• August-September-October: Phillies Strike Out Hunger/Polio, Polio Plus 5K, President Elect Training begins, Foundation Giving, Club Action Plan Summit 

• November-December-January:   Grant Cycle begins, President Elect Training, Dues Invoices Issued.

• January-February-March:   4-Way Test Speech Contest, President Elect Training

• April-May-June:   Environmental Day of Service, District Conference, Camp Neidig, Upload New Officers in ClubRunner

• July:   Dues Invoices Issued, STEM YEA, Changeover

On the 2nd Monday of each Month:

• President & Area Governors Meeting 5:30-6:15 pm on zoom

• District Learning Opportunity 6:15 - 7:00 pm, check the District calendar for topic and Zoom link. 

USING AI FOR ROTARY:  Rotary International has Guidelines for Members regarding the use of AI.   If you’re unsure whether a specific use of AI is appropriate, please write to the Rotary Support Center at rotarysupportcenter@rotary.org.  You can read the full set of guidelines here.   Remember, AI should augment, empower, and enhance human decision-making, not replace it.

WELCOME NEW LEADERSHIP   A hearty Rotary Roundup welcome to the presidential class of 2026-27! You are taking the reins of the essence and legacy of Rotary. Take it in, share your passion, and may your leadership be personally fulfilling as you guide your clubs in the coming year.

There are many planning tools available for clubs, some of which are referenced above. Use these tools to enhance your hallmark events. If each of our clubs did just one more activity in a year, we would be notching up our efforts to Create Lasting Impact.
